Hello. I am Marilyn Katz, and I spent 20 years as a computer professional, before starting a second
career in insurance sales. I've go to tell you that my own insurance career got off to a slow and rocky start.
I never did well on the sales pro personality tests, and hated calling leads, and especially, knocking on doors.
Well meaning managers told me to work harder, but I think the problem was that I needed to work smarter!
Meanwhile, still being something of a geek, I kept fiddling with websites to promote my own business. As much as
I delayed working on insurance prospecting, I obsessively learned how to use the internet to bring consumers to
me. I found that building websites was only the first step. I needed to learn how to build them correctly so I
could communicate my ethics, knowledge, and professionalism, and then I needed to attract a lot of visitors!
Clients Were Calling Me!
I slowly developed a system that I could repeat to continue growing my business. I told you that I hate
to call prospects. But when they called (or emailed) me, that was a whole other ball game!
